Review on πŸ‘ž Skechers Braver Rayland Loafer Leather Men's Shoes: Comfort and Style in Loafers & Slip-Ons by Todd Raynie

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The quality of the material has changed! Beware of buying a second pair!

I have already bought two shoes of the same model and brand. The first pair I bought were fantastic. They lasted three years of intensive use. I was a field technician at Fort Hood at the time and would spend weeks in the field carrying them over rough terrain, getting in and out of military vehicles, walking on gravel, dirt roads, bushes and dirt. You name it and I've been through hell and back in these shoes. However, they eventually wore out, so I bought another pair about a year ago. In my new job, I sit at a desk in the office. I almost never walk on anything rougher than concrete in them (and very little even then) and they crumble after just a year. The sole is completely worn out, there are almost no dents and dents left. The heel falls apart where you put your foot in the boot. They fall apart in layers and look pretty dated and unprofessional to wear to the office. Overall, they completely changed the material they used for the sole. It's a much less durable gum than it used to be and doesn't break down into anything. I wouldn't buy another pair of these and I wouldn't do anything more than wear them to the office if I did buy another pair. I'm only giving these two stars because in the year they've lasted, they've still been the most comfortable shoes I've had, so they deserve that kind of praise.

Pros
  • Memory foam
Cons
  • Waiting too long
