Review on Petego Car Front and Rear Seat Protector - Hammock Seat Cover for Cars, SUVs, Minivans, and Trucks by Nicole Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Plot Hound proof, for now.

We bought this for our 75lb very active dog to give our Toyota Highlander's leather seats a chance at success. We used to have blankets and towels to protect the seat and the dog would slide and slide all the time. As promised, the bottom is non-slip and the dog can ride without slipping anywhere. So far, the straps that hold the hammock to the front seat headrests held up when he put his full weight on those straps. Basically, the style of the hammock also helps to keep it back where it needs to be. Deterrence as an absolute barrier. The fabric is resistant to hair, moisture and dirt and is easy to shake out. It's also not difficult to remove some or all of these if people need to use the back seat. Simply remove the hammock from the headrests. There are slots for seat belts, so there is absolutely no need to remove the device for passengers without a dog. The wide rubber bands that attach the hammock to the bottom of the bench could have been a better fit. The hammock doesn't really have instructions, but you have to work hard not to figure out how to set it up. Some people have also mentioned that it doesn't work well with road holding systems. Our dog already has a harness. We wear it on car rides. We wrapped a tether around one of the rear headrests and attached that tether to its seat belts, leaving enough room to comfortably stand and lie down. This protects it somewhat from accidents (at least it doesn't fly through the windshield) and allows us to use this hammock while holding it. It's well done. There were cheaper ones out there, but we went with these so we didn't have to put up with flimsy parts that would break after a few car rides. So far we are very happy with it and it seems to be holding up well.
