Not as effective as hoped.

The visor provides some shade and a minimal decrease in glare from the morning sun down here in South Texas. This is not horrible but also not great. If you’re in an area with tall trees you might find the antiglare level this provides useful, however it is not helpful in an area with low growing trees or semi arid conditions.
