Every 30 inches there is a "merge point" where the two ends of this pad meet. This creates an obviously large bubbling area, usually rough on the outside where the heat burned the pompoms during melting. It really detracts from the aesthetics of the finish. So if you plan to use long strips, just note that you have a large "bubbly" area every 30 inches. I didn't think about how subtle it really was. The material has elasticity and elasticity, which makes the sewing edge ruffle by itself. I really had to concentrate to make sure the stitches caught on the edge of the panel. I like the small size of the pom poms, I wish they had a wider sewing edge though. I think you get what you pay for. Quality is on the low side so this could be great for costumes or crafts. But if you're trying to make something useful, spend the extra money and get a prettier finish!
