These were true to size, but what a disaster they turned out to be! I bought them for my trip to Ireland. They look good on but had to be ironed before each subsequent wearing because they wrinkled like crazy when packed. They are heavy-weight and even steam from the bathroom shower wouldn't undo the wrinkles. By the 4rd wearing (I haven't even washed them yet because I mostly just wore them sitting on the tour bus or on the plane) the waistband started to stretch and fold and I started to have to pull them up at the waist 3-4 times/day. I'll have to stitch loops inside the waistband and run a cord through the loops to keep them from sliding down before I wear them again. Not sure they're worth the trouble. I may just toss them. If they were made with an inside tie cord to begin with they'd be worth the ironing because they are nice-looking pants, but I'll never buy an elastic-waist pair of pants without a tie cord already built in again!
