Mine arrived with the family on Easter day. So I didn't spend much time on it. When I had time to work with it, it turned out to be a lot harder to put on than I expected. After playing with it a little more, I found the problem was that it was too small for my hands. The specs seem pretty well thought out to me. The mount is solid, with a decent and easy-to-use lock to prevent it from rotating. For those with small hands there are Velcro straps conveniently placed to make dressing easier (which can be a little tricky since you only have one hand to do it with one hand. The stitching on mine wasn't perfect, with a few dangling threads but still seems strong enough to hold the camera.
