The old fan in my PS4 started making a weird ticking noise so I decided it was time to replace it. I ordered this to replace it but what I got was unexpected. The first one I ordered made a weird buzzing noise when the console was turned on, so I decided to return it and get another one to make sure it was the faulty unit. The second one I got makes the same noise. I didn't expect the fan to be quiet, but I also didn't expect the new fan to be louder than the old one. I'm leaving this as I usually play with the headset and it may need to "break in" for a few hours. I highly doubt it will make a difference, but we'll see. For reference, my PC has 4 case fans and I can hear the console fan running. If your fan is completely broken I would suggest replacing it, but if it still works but makes a little more noise than usual, just take care of it because the replacement is pretty noisy. They charge $20 but have to charge $10.
