When I first unpacked them I was skeptical about using them as I found them to be a bit light, but when I placed them on a bakery counter with coffee makers on them they worked Well. I needed to get a visual representation of how far forward I can/can slide the tray. If you pull the tray too far forward it just detaches from the base and is a little awkward to put back in place. So I stuck on a small piece of tape to mark my "breakpoint" until I got used to it. I have 2 coffee makers and the bottom lid can be opened all the way because of the shelf above. This allows me to just pull the coffee maker forward, pour in the water and pad, and then just put it back in.
