Definitely a cheaper filter than Napa and Autozone. Of course they came very quickly. The only tool required for installation, which is specific to the Subaru Forester XT Turbo 04, is a #2 Phillips screwdriver and possibly a second pair of hands. You have to open the glove compartment, it is best to take everything out, then loosen all 5 screws on top and on the side, then 2 screws on both sides in the glove compartment. Then close the glove box and there are 4 screws that go along the bottom edge of the glove box and are practically on the carpet. Then you can pull the entire glove box forward and out of the way. You will then see a door held in place by two plastic latches. This plastic cover needs to be lifted on the left side and slides out. Then insert the filter into the car with the side down. I think there is only one way to install it. My car didn't have a filter and I just bought one last year. You may need another person to hold the glove box in place until you've tightened a few bolts. Then sort out all your expired registration papers and insurance, after which you can clean out your glove box. Or just throw everything back in the drawer and you're done. Hope that helps.
