perfect! I was concerned about hanging this on the shifter in my car, so I bought a cup holder insert that was designed to fit larger cups than the cup holders in a standard car. I hung the garbage can on the cup holder insert. It's safer that way. Reduced risk of a passenger accidentally putting on a garbage bag and reversing my car. There was no other place to hang a bag. The bag is made of durable material. It's a good size so it doesn't take up too much space, but it's big because it can handle all the little slips of paper and weird stuff my kids leave in the car. I gave one to my friend in the carpool, I really liked the bag.
