Review on Premium Classic Samurai CS-201 Heavy Duty Long Handle Safety Razor Kit with 10 Dorco Double Edge Razor Blades by Alma Carter

Pros: I love how this razor looks and feels. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the head is smooth and decently heavy. The chrome plating is smooth and unblemished, and the metal feels solid. Cons: Equipped with the new spring blade, this may be the least close shave I've had since quitting multi-blade razors. The gap under the blade and to the back of the head is huge and I was only able to half shave by holding my head at a very precise angle for which there was no forgiveness. This gap left plenty of room for an imperfect edge, which was also made. Even at this angle, the shave was poor and left a lot to be desired. The balance of the handle with the head is not very great because the center of balance falls on the handle. The head just isn't heavy enough compared to the handle for a balanced shave. Conclusion: If the handle and head weren't so beautiful and well made, I would only give one star. The shave wasn't very good, that's the whole purpose of the product, hence my rating.
