I would give this 5 stars but I only had it for a short time. I will come back and check it later. I am homeschooled and have tried so many books and programs. I had light, easy handwriting because I liked how it was color coded and line coded. After teaching A and B, my son wrote them beautifully on the blackboard. However, I recently read an article (specifically homeschooling) on whether to teach cursive and, if so, whether to teach print or handwriting first. It's been a controversy since I started homeschooling over 12 years ago. After reading the article, I decided to teach my five-year-old to write in cursive first. My son has a hard time at first, but typing isn't easy either. He understands cursive quite quickly. I ordered more handwritten paper because while dotted lines take a lot of practice, there is nothing for a child to practice without dotted lines. So far I am very happy with my purchase. I had to make some small changes, but so far I'm very happy with this product!
