Review on πŸ‘” Grain Everyday Classic Leather Belt for Men's Accessories by Ryan Hoover

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent but not Hank's

I love quality leather goods and have several quality belts from some big names like Hanks, Thirteen50, some strap manufacturers and some leather boutiques. artisanal workshops. I've seen this Main Street Forge on my Revain feed for a while and at $29.99 I decided to try their casual belt. I received it on Friday and have worn it 2 shifts of 10 hours each at work so far. Below are my first thoughts. He is skinny. He is light. It's very flexible. It will collapse in on itself and certainly won't hold up if strapped down and held upright. This is a VERY light weight strap and I wouldn't use it as a carry strap or anything heavy. It is noteworthy that the manufacturer does not specify the weight of the skin in the description. For you leather newbies, 1 ounce of leather is about 1/64th of an inch thick. It can be 10 oz leather which is pretty light/thin in the world of good belts. But I just needed something to work with that I wasn't afraid to screw up. I have a very tough physical job and I'm out in the elements, sweating and getting hit by the rain, greasy and dirty. In these conditions, I don't want to wear any of my more expensive belts. I'm sure it won't hurt them, but it's like putting a new car through a gas station car wash, you know what I mean? It works for that. Appears to be a high quality, well sewn belt. After only 2 coats I already have a slight stretch in the hole I'm using and I think it will stretch even more since it's so thin, but I expect this strap to last and for a few years 30 bucks he's fine. I have to say that I was impressed by the black roller buckle and seems to be of excellent quality, almost out of place on this belt. Years. I don't think it's a 20 year old belt. And please, if you're buying a very good leather belt and considering some of the brands above, don't even try to compare this to them. Good belt but no competitor. 2 different landmarks. This is a decent belt that is definitely better than a belt in big stores but nowhere near some of the other big leather companies. This might be a good first step into the real leather world, but you have to know it gets a lot better. Expect a 3 star belt and you will be happy. Expect a Hanks belt or any other high quality belt and you will be miserable. If you've never owned a high-quality genuine leather belt, you'll love this one. My wife loves the free decal that came with it (which bugs me because I loved it too much lol) and the Main Street Forge keychain. I have also ordered separately and will leave my own 5 star review and I will likely use the $5 discount coupon they included with another product, perhaps one of their more expensive and bulky offerings. So this is a decent belt for what it is, but don't be fooled into thinking this is a quality belt.
