Handles are strong and securely stitched. The material is strong but not heavy. The size was perfect for a multi-section zippered wallet, an iPhone with a rubber case, a glasses case, a few toiletries (tissues, cosmetics, perfume atomizers), pens, a headphone case, a stretchy pouch large enough for an iPad mini or other 5x7 tablet. An external zippered pocket fits for keys with multiple car keys and two side pockets for sanitizer or other small bottles. Overall excellent usability for a backpack that's smaller than a regular backpack that doesn't add extra weight due to its own design. I love the square shape that allows for storing rectangular notebooks, tablets or other things.
