It doesn't fit very well, but there is a way to put it on.

My pencil is counterfeit but in the shape of a first generation Apple pen. At first I couldn't get the case past the top of the handle. I then smeared my finger with a small amount of oil and smeared it over the handle so the body would slide straight. I can't really recommend this tactic, but it worked for me and my pen is fine.
