Applying makeup can be a challenge if you don't have the right lighting or mirror. This mirror makes it pretty easy and convenient to use anywhere. The mirror is double-sided, so using a regular mirror is easy. You can then turn it over and use the other side for a closer look. The other side is 8x magnification and WOW was so close. I could see all the flaws on my face. It made it easier for me to pluck my eyebrows. The stand is strong enough to hold it in place without slipping. I also liked the colour. It wasn't too bright or crazy. It was subtle enough not to detract from the overall look. The only thing I had a little problem with was putting the mirror back together after I put the batteries in. I didn't want to leave fingerprints on either side of the glass or break it, so I had to figure out how to hold it. Also, I love this mirror and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.
