I love the Dana Xu scarves, especially for everyday wear. Even though my home is in sunny Southern California, winters here can still be chilly, and jackets and light coats are often necessary. After all, this isn't sub-tropical Florida. The Dana Xu scarves are the perfect weight for Southern California winters, and they're also great for chilly autumns and springs in colder climates. They are also good to keep your neck warm in winter over a coat even when the temperature dips below freezing. I have to travel a lot by plane, and as anyone who travels by plane knows, planes can be quite chilly at times. I often use my Dana Xu scarf on chilly plane rides, and I sometimes use it as a wrap at home. I've even put one over my bed when I'm cold, but my partner isn't. As I've said in a previous review, just choose your scarf according to the photo, not the color in the description. A scarf might be labeled "green," for instance, but it might only be green along its border. Most of these scarves are very multi-colored, so just choose the pattern and photo you like best. The scarves are very true to their photos. What you see is what you'll get. These scarves feel silky to me; they aren't at all scratchy like some wool can be. You'll find them comfortable unless you're allergic to wool. If that's the case, I wouldn't recommend them. They aren't for summer wear or for wear indoors unless you're very chilly. I would call them a midweight, and frankly, I love the midweight. These scarves really are as long as advertised. They are perfect for a tall or large woman. I'm very petite, so I like to wrap my scarf around my neck twice and tie it in an elaborate knot. The predominantly light blue one I received today is lovely. My only wish is that the light blue had been a true blue, without any gray, since I'm not a fan of gray at all, but it's still quite pretty, and I still anticipate getting a lot of use from it. And, after looking at the photo again, the blue in the photo does look like it has a touch of gray. As I said, what you see in the photo is what you'll get. These scarves are a real bargain; they look far more expensive than they are. A word of caution: these are wool, albeit a lightweight wool, so put a few cedar chips in the bag with the scarf or hang it in a closet you've moth-proofed. Have fun with them. Give them as gifts. I don't think the recipient will be disappointed.
