Review on 💦 Speakman Hotel Pure Anystream High Pressure Shower Head with Filter - Adjustable, 2.5 GPM, Brushed Nickel Finish by Orwin Greener

I recently purchased three different filtered showerheads and one shower filter, installed them and showered under them. The Speakman Hotel Pure is the best of all. The Culligan WSH-C125 wall mounted shower with a 10,000 gallon filter had decent pressure and the filtration was very good. I'm not particularly interested in multi-jet shower heads, but I've tried. The downside of the Culligan was the width of the standard "rain" beam. The beams were directed almost straight ahead, so the water didn't offer much cover. Returned. The built in Brita shower filtration system was the second shower head I tried and also the worst. It only has one shot, which is fine with me, but the pressure was terrible. Very, very faint, like the water was only half turned on. I removed the flow restrictor and the pressure has improved, but at this point there is no way of knowing how much water you are using. I live in a community where a typical water bill for a family of three can be over $200 a month, so unfortunately I need a flow restrictor. To return. I then tried the Culligan ISH-100 Level 2 Inline Shower Filter with my existing Delta 75152 Single Function Showerhead with H2Okinetic Technology. Very difficult to install. Numerous complaints about loose Culligan fittings are true. When the shower was turned on, the Culligan filter almost burst, and water began pouring out of every seam of the unit. Returned. Which brings me to the Speakman Pure Hotel. I was hesitant to buy it at first as it had a high price at the time of purchase and didn't have many reviews. But Speakman is a very respected brand in this space; if anyone can do it right, it's her. When I unpacked this shower head, I was surprised by its size. It's very large, about 33% larger than my old Delta shower head, and it's also quite bulbous. But I immediately noticed the quality. Everything was done to exacting standards. The lock to remove the filter had a distinct click. The filter itself was larger than any other shower head filter I've tried. Installation was very easy and I was impressed with how durable the fitting was. No leaks anywhere. The Speakman's water dispenser was the best part. The pressure competes with the performance of my "boosting" Delta showerhead. The jets work on the cross principle to create the feeling of more water. The width of the spray cone was also optimal; excellent coverage. The smaller ring of high pressure jets can be accessed by turning the switch on the side of the shower head. It was very nice but then again I only need one setting so it doesn't affect my rating. After a shower, it became clear that the Speakman filter does an excellent job of filtering out impurities and even softening the water a bit. My skin and hair felt great. The initial cost of this shower head will of course put some buyers off, but the quality is far better than any other filter shower head currently available. The good news is that replacement filters are no more expensive than those used in competing showerheads.
