It works so well. Before placing an order I measured the inside of the freezer to make sure it would fit 16 inches long. I don't stack containers on top of each other as my shelves aren't that tall and I don't plan to adjust them. Also, after placing Lansinoh frozen flat packs (each pack contains 3 - 5 ounces of milk), a separate plastic valve sticks out, along with about 2 inches of frozen milk pack; but if you stacked the containers on top of each other you could probably do that with vertical freezer bags, but then you wouldn't be able to pack as many bags in the containers. Again, I freeze my bags first before throwing them in the bins, and the bins are wide enough to put the frozen bags straight in without having to tip them in any way. I can fit about 24-27 flat freezer bags in, depending on how full each bag is.
