Review on Enhanced Waterdrop Filtration System for Fluoride and Chlorine Removal with Increased Capacity by Sam Sergio

Revainrating 3 out of 5

3 years? Try it for 2 months.

So I bought this filter because it looked like a high flow filter with good reviews. The kit included the necessary plumbing parts for installation. And while I wouldn't call it "great tasting" it did improve the taste of the tap water. That's all the pros, now the cons. Installation was agonizing at first - the filter housing was much longer than expected. I have a 'regular' sized sink and vanity but to install the filter (so I can remove/replace it) I had to mount a bracket over the bottom of the sink which was very difficult. Contrary to their claims, the flow was significantly reduced, but filling a glass of water (or coffee pot) without getting too excited was tolerable. To be honest, I would still be satisfied with these quirks. Third and most important though, it's been less than 2 months since installation and my cold water flow is more like a leak. As you can see in the attached picture, my 5 month old grandson drools faster than cold water in my sink. The consumption of hot water naturally remains unchanged. I tried reinstalling the filter (again, what a pain - now it's even harder when the filter is full of water) but that had no effect. And since there are only two of us in the house, it has been used a lot less than most single-family homes. To be honest I have to bypass the filter completely and look for a replacement because there's no way I can buy a new filter every 2 months! UPDATE: Your tech support answered my question and asked me to "backflush" the system. It was also harder than it should have been, but I did it and it seems to have fixed the issue. Have raised the rating to 3 stars for now.

Pros
  • Under Sink & Countertop Filtration
Cons
  • So far so good
