It was necessary to buy Seiko

. I bought this watch in February and in April the glass cracked. I paid to have it shipped to Casio for repair and was told their warranty doesn't cover glass damage, which is a critical issue for dive watches. They said they would replace it for $59 (more than the cost of the watch itself) or I would have to pay to get my broken watch back. I also purchased an Asurion guarantee so I tried several times to contact them via phone and chat but each time they got disconnected. I emailed and the response was that their coverage only starts once the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Basically, I bought a disposable watch with two worthless warranties. I will never buy Casio or Asurion again.
