. I think it fits up or down about 4 inches or less. This is only good for very young children between 3 and 7 years old. Good size balls. The racket consists of two parts. In the instructions, the popup function did not work. It will press down 3 tabs (see image). As long as these tabs are down, the popup feature will not work. Nowhere in the instructions does it say to open those I finally tinkered enough to figure out the problem. After flipping the tabs, everything worked great. Would have given 5 stars apart from the faulty instructions which led me to believe this toy is broken.
