Microphone not working on PC. or Xbox 1.

I purchased this cable as a replacement cable for my Plantronics Rig Flex headset. It connects and works with my computer, Android phone and Xbox only as an audio cable. However, the microphone does not work on PC or Xbox. Seems to work with my phone. The pause button works when listening to music, but the skip buttons don't. Not worth sending back so I'll probably add it to my pile of extra cables. A little disappointing.
