Are they DOT approved? Yes. are they light Yes. They work? Yes. Are those cheap taillights? In the truest sense of the word yes. I love how smart these guys are, that's where the compliments end. I don't agree that condensation collects in the driver's side taillight - a little, but it's there and hasn't caused any problems, and I suspect it won't be the case at this point. If you look at the pictures you will also notice the LED lights on the side of each light above and below the reflector. A small clear piece of plastic is glued to it. and they disappear almost immediately after installation. The construction is cheap and I highly recommend you install with a screwdriver instead of a drill. Between various projects on my JK and some friends, I've reinstalled the OEM brake lights enough times to be familiar with their durability, and I don't hesitate to use a drill (low torque, of course) to get those long screws . turns off and on faster. Even if you're gentle with these lights, they still crackle in the corners. Small cracks and nothing even cosmetically very bad and of course not detrimental to functionality, but they still cracked where the normal ones normally hold. I bought them because I needed to buy new brake lights. I think as with any replacement on a jeep, why not use this opportunity as an excuse to upgrade? Well I probably should have spent a little more money and bought headlights from a more reputable manufacturer (which also look better, once installed I'm not overly impressed with the aesthetics). I know I'll replace them one day, and certainly when I get the headlights. EDIT: I think for some they seem decent because they were stolen from my jeep. Do yourself a favor and put in security bolts with nylon locknuts like I did to deter theft when replacing. Replaced them with more expensive and well-known brands. Couldn't be happier with those.

Pros
  • HIGH POWER CREE LED chip
Cons
  • Not trendy
