This is a great creative way for my 6 and 7 year olds to pass the time. My 4 year old daughter can handle it a bit but sometimes she gets bored or upset. I mostly find it boring. It comes with a lot of 'pearls' and design options, which is great. They end up dropping a small handful over the course of an hour and never manage to pick them all up during the "clean up" which means I end up doing it. But what tricky project doesn't end with cleaning up for the parents? Compared to paint or glitter or glue etc, this is the bare minimum. It requires someone who irons the end products. This is where my 1 star deduction comes into play. We had another set that had parchment paper for ironing beads on. It didn't stick to the melted balls at all. This one comes with a piece of plastic wrap. It kind of sticks to the beads and stays very hot. It peels off without ruining the finished product, but as I usually have 4 hangers at a time I find it painful to wait for it to cool sufficiently to peel it off again. Parchment paper was much lighter. I could probably try parchment paper from my drawer. Parchment paper was much lighter. I could probably try parchment paper from my drawer.
