I originally bought another fabric which was 3 layers and very thick - I cut it, stretched it on a frame and got to work. Little did I know that I wouldn't be happy with this look. I also didn't pay attention to the coarse-meshed structure of this material. I was looking for something similar to the original coating which was much thinner. Well - keep in mind that this product is quite thin as the product description suggests - but it was exactly what I was looking for. You can see my Sony speaker closing the tweeter behind it again; my Infinity speaker looks tighter because I left the original fabric behind - so it's not as opaque as the other layer reveals. The decision to leave the original on the Infinity had more to do with the construction - it was glued rather than stapled and it worked well as the original stayed in place. Keeping the same considerations, you can easily double this material down on a bare frame if you want if you want a more streamlined look (even in 2 layers it doesn't look as bulky as the original 3 layer material I have ). bought) It was a comfortable material to work with, stretched well in both planes. I am very happy with the result, it looks exactly how I wanted it.
