Review on PrintPods Customized Removable Skin Friendly Navy Blue by Alex Tinker

Application/printing/connection is unstable.

I am running the current version of ios on an iphone 7 and have never been able to get this thing to stay connected or print past the very first test print I got to work - the default word is " Edit" -- after deleting and reinstalling the app and reconnecting several times to finally get a (briefly) working connection. Any attempts at other prints just resulted in an endless 'Printing' screen with a progress circle. I've tried text, photos, and ink. None of the other themes were ever downloaded to the device, although they did appear connected. Eventually the app crashes. And then only "Edit" is printed. I guess if I wanted to press "Edit" on everything I'd be ready. It took 3 attempts to uninstall and reinstall the app before I could even connect. This resulted in my only successful print, if you can call it that, followed by a dozen unsuccessful attempts to print anything else. could actually use it, I couldn't establish a stable connection and after another 45 minutes I gave up. Direct Wi-Fi is generally clunky and clunky, but that's overkill. I regularly use a direct Wi-Fi connection to print to old and new office printers when our rural internet is down and I need to print something. I've never had such nonsense. I assume there is a technical reason why they then went that route instead of Bluetooth which my label printer uses. but lousy, at least on ios (judging by the number of dissatisfied android reviewers, it's not just about ios). I also don't like what it requires. I followed the (admittedly flimsy) online instructions, watched every video I could find, from the company and individuals, and was unable to get a reliable connection. In some cases, the tutorial video had different app settings than the current app. All in all I put in a few hours but I'll write it off as sunken edition and it goes to goodwill. Maybe someone else can get it working, but I put as much time into it as I wanted.

Pros
  • Printer ink and toner
Cons
  • Slightly torn
