My 5 month old loves to chew on this. It is easy to wash with warm water. I bought it when it was 4 months old and it took a few weeks for it to really figure out how to put it in its mouth, but now it plays with it a lot and works well. I like that everything is soft. He can safely chew the ring and molds and I'm not worried his mouth will hurt. I actually bought this after he banged his mouth on a traditional key cutter while he was on his stomach and it was bleeding! Great textures to explore. I'm also buying a boy with trucks.
