I've been using one of these for almost 3 years. This is a great well packaged integrated amp. If you're looking to upgrade to audiophile-grade 2-channel (or 2.1-channel) audio, this is probably one of your best options. One of the nicest features is that you can connect your iOS device directly to this amp with just a Lightning to USB cable. So if you already have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, all you need is speakers. What it does NOT have are networking capabilities. No Ethernet port, no built-in Bluetooth, no WiFi (although a plug-in WiFi module is expected to be released soon for an additional fee). It has a good built-in DAC. To stream digital music over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, I used a Bluesound Node 2i (connected to Nova's coaxial or analog ports). From a USB stream the DAC will handle up to PCM 384kHz or up to DSD 128. If you boot from a Windows server with ASIO drivers you can get DSD 256 (at least that's what I read). If you want to process digital media outside of these limits, you'll need to hook up a separate DAC (or replace it with a different amplifier). built-in amplifier. The included IR remote control is pretty good. The length x width is about 25% longer than the AppleTV remote (and much thicker). The buttons are just enough (but no more than necessary).
