When I decided to buy this phone, my wife asked me to take some family photos. I went to RIT and studied photography in the early 2000s. Since then, I've been using the Bow Heavy Tank. It's great, but heavy as a sack of rocks. This tripod is light and compact enough to fit in my toddler backpack adding just a few ounces. I wasn't sure if I would use the bluetooth trigger. It turns out to be the best feature. I used this remote shutter release with my phone for family photos. Between dog and toddler, I'm lucky enough to get 1 shot in 20 with everyone looking in the general direction of the camera. Much more likely than I did with the self-timer. These include lighter versions of all the features you see on expensive brand names.
