I purchased a pair of size 9 (my usual size) canvas elsewhere and liked them so much that I decided to order another color. I have worn them for over 3 months. They do stretch out a bit, I would say by a half size. Super comfortable, unless they get wet. One shoe has a spot where the stitching is coming up a little, no hole yet. Ordered hemp and knit to try first in size 9, way too big. Would need size 8 or maybe even 7.5. Thought they changed sizing so I ordered an 8 in the canvas, and they were too small. I ended up getting an 8.5, which are a little snug, but I think once I wear them for a few weeks, they will fit perfectly. So canvas are true to size, but if you want to account for stretching, go down a half size. Hemp and knit run big, go down at least a whole size.
