Never heard of GermGuardian until I looked for a filter for Revain. This air filter is AMAZING, it's quiet, powerful, very well balanced, beautiful and the app is very handy for me. I've had Honeywell and other big brand air filters that were noisy, unbalanced and rubbish compared to this unit! I've been using my GermGuardian for a day and love it, best filter I've had so far. - QUIET, with 5 speed levels, 1-3 from "is that thing on" to "now I hear", 4-5 from "very tolerant" to "acceptable" for the high volume of air pumped through this device. It also has an auto setting that automatically selects the fan speed based on the air quality. - App, this is optional and you can save $35 and buy it without this feature. That being said, mine sits on a tall dresser in the bedroom, making it very difficult to set up without the remote app feature. . . . VERY GOOD and easy to set up. CONTROL PANEL, very nice and easy to use when used on the floor or lower than mine. Another nice feature! - QUALITY, in my opinion radiates quality! - The only minus is that the ring of light is bright. It will light up the bedroom at night. I simply folded a few sheets of paper in half and placed them on top of the illuminated control panel and light ring. . good enough. I'm looking for static catchy tinted visors for cars and cut off a few pieces for the control panel and a light ring for permanent attachment. This is not a deal breaker! Sometimes one gets nervous about writing a review and this was one of those cases for me. It far exceeded my expectations at a reasonable price.
