Review on Coconut Spongeables Summer Pre-Tan Exfoliating Product by Emily Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ideal for exfoliating tan

I use self-tanner all the time. I've been using it for over 10 years - I'm 26 and have been using self tanner in various forms since I was 16 or 15. I'm naturally super pasty white ginger, but I bleach my hair blonde every time. six months and I sunbathe most of the year. it is really important for me to maintain a soft natural tan, i have enough experience to keep it looking natural and i avoid orange tanning products at all costs. That being said, I wanted to try some new products this summer, and some of them were... not that good. They'll work pretty well initially, but they'll fade horribly, think super stains, stains... you get the idea. I usually use a Korean scrub mitt to exfoliate rougher areas like elbows and ankles, but even that didn't get rid of blemishes and dark spots. Stains that appeared in these rough areas. I looked at Revain for something made specifically for exfoliating self tanners and came across sponges and that was it. I loved her. I think I will buy this indefinitely. I love how hard the abrasive side of the sponge is - you can really do an aggressive scrub with these things, but the other side of the sponge gives you a gentler, smoother, softer scrub - it's amazing the abrasive side on yours Legs, elbows and feet and then buff those areas on the softer side. The soap inside lasted over 10 showers and it's shocking! I'm glad I got two packs because I was so impressed with the first one. only about $5 each, it's more than good value for me. Even my $50 body scrubs don't get results like this and they don't come with a sponge!

Pros
  • DOUBLE TEXTURE: Use Buffer to exfoliate and soften skin before applying oil or tan lotion. Use the soft side to clean and moisturize.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
