Maybe the one I received is defective?
I really wanted to like this product as it has many positive reviews, however I’ve given it a couple weeks and a handful of uses and it just doesn’t get hot like a hotcomb should, mines gets warm at best and can still be touched with no issue- I don’t quite know about the other reviews but it’s a no for me- and I know I’m disappointed because I don’t normally write reviews. buyer beware, you could potentially end up with a janky unit.

- The product may not be suitable for use on hair that has been heavily styled with hairspray or other products
