There are so many great features in this device. We used a similar one, albeit higher, but it had too many quirks that we didn't like so much that we replaced it with this one. Such a great solution! Pros: WHEELS! You have breaks if you need to lock them, and the brakes do a pretty good job of keeping the tote stable when you need to use it. My wife keeps a couple of wheels locked at the head end and the foot end unlocked so she can easily pull out the cradle for easier getting out of bed in the middle of the night. While not as good as a rotating cradle, it is very functional and costs a lot less than a rotating cradle. Second, the rail release mechanism is not hidden behind the fabric and is very easy to use. Since we're pushing the cradle against the bed, we usually just leave it lowered, but as our baby becomes more mobile, that will change. The rocking position is really comfortable, but we've admittedly only used it a couple of times. We have other machines that we use throughout the day to rock. We particularly like that the entire fabric part can be removed and washed very easily. Although it can only be hand washed, it simply opens up making it very easy to reach when it needs to be cleaned. Finally, the asymmetrical height lock really helps against spitting in the middle of the night. Cons: The biggest - and really only - downside is the height. We have a fairly high bed (about 28 inches) and it only suffices at 20 inches. Fortunately, this difference isn't significant enough to make midnight pickups unsafe, but it's definitely inconvenient. All in all, you can't go wrong with it. All bassinets are expensive but this one is great value for money. Highly recommend unless you sleep on a ridiculously high bed.
