Staying wet is best in sand Art

I like this product a lot more than the NatGeo copy and surprisingly this product is actually more environmentally friendly than the NatGeo version. While this one is made of sand, the other is made of some kind of foam. As for the advertised sealed storage, the bag didn't suit us. Sand gets into the groove of the seal, and after a while it no longer closes. It is best to buy a large storage container for this. My kid used it to build a sand castle with a moat, which turned into a very sticky mess that stained my tub with a blue water ring for a month. We couldn't get rid of the sand when it was wet. However, after drying, the product returned to normal, but became slightly rougher than originally. I love and hate that this is made out of real sand. I love the texture and feel, but I hate sand farms to look down on. Overall this is a great product and I wouldn't buy any other Mimic version. I would like to add: the NatGeo version practically does not keep up. This holds its shape very well. As for cleaning, it is easy to clean in an environment where there are not many fine particles. As advertised you can make a ball and it will stick to any other sand you hit the ball on but my child (preschool) finds this difficult. Also, small things that get mixed up stay inside. I'm talking pet hair, dirt, bird seed, dirt, dander, dust, etc. If you're using this indoors, make sure whoever is doing the cleaning can do the ball trick. and make sure the environment where you use it is dust free. Otherwise, use it outdoors and simply spray the porch or patio with small bits of sand that come off. Don't use a broom, you'll never get off a broom.
