I bought these to have a more wallet friendly version of my Aquaphor that I use for lips. Such thick substances are very difficult to get into the tube and make a mess. However, the hair gel I use for my brows was lighter but still had trouble removing air bubbles and absorbing the product. They held up well however, one coiled brush broke so I replaced it with another and one of the deer's legs tends to cross the thread if I'm not careful. Although for the money it's a great deal.
