Exactly as described! It's still raining. . . And my basement is dry.

I used them to reinforce a drainage ditch on the side of my house that can sometimes get clogged with leaves, overflowing and flooding my garden and then the basement. And I put one extra in front of my mom and dad's basement door where water can get in during heavy rain. It's still raining and both basements are DRY! worth your money! They can save you more than they cost. Highly recommended without hesitation!
