Pass it down like a family heirloom

It's rare that such an activity can be passed down from generation to generation, but these Water Wow books survived two children (almost ten years) and are being passed on to a new cousin. I suspect it will take a few more decades. The case that holds the brush is included, but of course we lost it every now and then. So you can use a bowl of water with a regular clean brush, cotton swab, or even just your finger. Kids love the novelty of doing it different ways. After they have applied the water - as small children they simply color it in and when they are older they solve the maze - the objects in the picture are used to search and find. Search and find is a great way to learn how to read numbers and count. They're great for travel, as they don't have any small, easy-to-lose parts (which tend to roll onto the floor in a car or plane and are hard to find), and all the designs and brushes are stapled together. Also because it doesn't leave a mess like crayons or markers. That's why I take them to restaurants or family visits, when I'm around with the kids, they don't accidentally stain the tablecloth or furniture. I use Crayola Color Wonder Markers for the same reason, but these books leave even less marks, don't need cleaning, and are all self-contained.
