Review on 🐱 Heated or Unheated K&H Pet Products Kitty Sill Cat Window Hammock Perch - Fleece, 14 X 24 Inches by Heidi Jenkins

I bought this so my cat could lie on a warm, soft perch and look out the window. It's a good perch but doesn't seem to warm at all. Installation is simple and straightforward. I wasn't sure if velcro would be enough but so far it's held up 10-11 pounds well. The padding seems comfortable enough, although it's really just a 1/2 inch thick layer of foam with a cap on top. Sturdy molded plastic frame so don't expect it to be a deep plush pillow. The heated version is more or less flat with no protruding edges or anything else, which can be a plus or minus depending on what you want. The biggest downside for Mir seems that the heating seems to be completely inefficient. The instructions say to turn them on and leave them on for a couple of hours. Not sure if this is just the first time or every time. Not sure about leaving it on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and having to turn it on and wait a few hours for it to heat up is highly inconvenient. But even after waiting the suggested hours, estrus is practically not detected. something but just a hint, definitely not worth the big price premium for the heated version.
