Review on Outdoor Ventures Lightweight Windbreaker Grey Stowaway by Lamar Marshall

What I like about this jacket: - Waterproof - Windproof - Adjustable/drawstring hem and hood. - Fun, eye-catching and hard-to-find color (bright red-orange) - Two outside zippered pockets and two inside hip pockets! This is surprising for such a simple jacket, especially since so many jackets, including higher quality and more expensive ones, seem to have only a small inner pocket or none at all. Ideal for warm rainy days as it doesn't warm you up. and has no insulation or even lining. Very compact and portable, easily folds into its own small carrying case. corresponds to the size. What I don't like: - It's literally a sheet of plastic - thicker than your average rain poncho, but very stiff and noisy. - Non-adjustable cuffs. The stiffness of the jacket material means the elastic non-adjustable/non-tightening cuffs do not fit well around my wrists and I have fairly large wrists. Pockets, they are visible to people (at least for such an orange-red color). Since I like to carry my dark wallet in the inside pockets of my jacket, the translucency of the material advertises it. - Absolutely no lining or insulation - I wish they would at least add a mesh lining or something like a plastic material. sticks to your hands when wearing short sleeves. Additionally, the lining helps provide some security as it creates a visual barrier (see above for the sheer jacket) - much like a secure postal envelope versus an unsecured one. The jacket offers ZERO warmth so it's really only good for warmer rainy days or as a sturdy jacket to wear your own layered clothing for colder days - again not necessarily a disadvantage. Overall this is a good jacket, very basic and no frills with some nice extras. I think a few small tweaks could really make this jacket a winner. I will be buying my next outdoor venture from this jacket which has a mesh lining, zippers and additional features to compare with this jacket.
