After replacing too many flimsy (plastic? rubber?) charging cables, I finally decided to buy a stronger braided nylon cable. It's a shame I didn't discover them years ago as it would have saved me many frustrating hours dealing with broken cables. Trust me, these are the only cables you'll want to use.
