I've been using this camera for a little over two years. (Back then, it was almost half what it is now.) I'm not a professional photographer and only shoot when I feel like it, so I didn't want to invest in a really good/expensive camera. This camera works well for my purposes. I mainly photograph and record holiday get-togethers, pets and wildlife. The photos and videos I took with this camera are decent. They are sharp most of the time, except when I'm moving while taking the picture. I like this camera, but since there are more advanced versions in the Fujifilm Finepix family (for around the same price), I'd recommend researching them before picking this one up. I'm currently buying a Fujifilm with a longer zoom. They cost just a little more than I paid for this version and, depending on the magnification you want, come very close to what they are now charging for this version. All in all a good camera for the amateur or occasional photographer.
