Review on Authentic African Dashiki Print Dresses for Girls by SHENBOLEN: Embrace African Tradition in Style! by Brian Sobirov

The fabric is hard, too big, cute with modifications

I ordered size 7 for my 7 year old daughter. The length is good but too wide. My child must be morbidly obese to fit in this dress. The fabric is also very strange. It's like a tablecloth coated with hard plastic. It's so hard that the dress comes undone by itself. But I'm keeping it to myself because my daughter and I need matching clothes for the black history program. The dress is cute. I just wish the quality and fit were better. After wearing it, I give the dress three stars instead of two. The dress appears to be made from a cheap African wax seal. I have seen a much better quality African wax print fabric that is heavier. It will eventually soften with washing. However, if your daughter has sensitive skin, she may not tolerate harsh fabrics well. The dress comes with a belt so I gave it a high waist even though it is large. The dress also has a WIDE skirt, which is unnaturally noticeable due to the stiff fabric, so I wore a wide petticoat underneath. In the end I really liked how she looked in the dress. I only wish the fabric and construction were better. Shenbolen makes women's dresses from the same fabric, so we had the same dresses.
