This pair of USB-A to USB micro cables look just like the 10-foot cables I find at gas station stores for $12* each piece* see. This pair was less than $7 at the time I ordered it from Revain, so it's a great value. The end connectors provide a very secure connection to the charger and phone. Time will tell how well they keep that tight grip, but so far so good. If I get a pair I'll have a new spare on deck if/when the 1st loses traction. Overall, the materials and construction of these cables appear to be *much* stronger than cheaper cables. This cable keeps my phone charged very quickly all the time, which many cheap cables don't do. I suspect it has to do with connecting all 5 pins in the cable to allow handshaking of the USB device instead of just using 2 pins for power only or 4 pins for power and data only. Or maybe use a heavier gauge wire that will deliver more than 2 amps of charge current versus 1 amp for cheap cables. While I'm sorry the current price is around $9 right now, I would order these cables again, even at a slightly overpriced price point.
