Mom has swelling and after two surgeries it got worse. This shoe was the only one that worked after trying on and returning several other brands and styles. I love the fact that you can customize the insole to fit each foot perfectly. One of her feet is more swollen than the other and it's the only shoe I could find there. You can adjust it so it's almost like having two different sized shoes when you need it. Now she uses a walker and has good shoes with some support. No need for a shoehorn, which was appreciated. Wish there were more styles! Mary Jane style is welcome.
