I haven't had a chance to try them out during a power outage. So I hope I'm glad I have them. I wanted to buy as little as possible to see if they were worth buying. You are tall. They are not the same size as a standard American lamp. There is an outlet but no lightbulb. So if you have a lamp with limited space to place the bulb, this is not for you. Initially, I wanted to replace all the light bulbs in the house with such lamps. The purchase made me reconsider that thought. I'll update if I get a chance to use them during a power outage.
