These storage boxes are convenient to have, but they are not as strong as we would like. I washed one in the dishwasher but didn't think that was a good idea as it came out pretty warped. Even after hand washing they look shabby. I haven't tried using them in the microwave. I don't like the idea of heat getting chemicals into my food (especially if the food contains fat or oil). The lids are brittle, especially after freezing. You'll have to "run" your fingers over them more than once to lift them out of the bowl, and if you lift them too soon they'll break. I suppose you could argue that they seal the bowl better, but I've broken about half the ones I've used and am very careful. However, the price was very reasonable. I just doubt that they are microwave safe, dishwasher safe and reusable.
