If you only walk on sidewalks or fields, they may come in handy for you. I ran into rocks in the area where I live (Southern Colorado) and these shoes are useless for that. You don't have a clutch. I'm not talking about using them for technical climbing or anything like that. They even glide on dry rock. If you're not walking on level ground, consider something with a larger tread. On top of that, the glued-on fake rubber on the side of one of them came off after just two days of wearing. Maybe it's a blemish, I'm not sure.
