Good microphone, important note on use

I bought this microphone for online lecture recording and it did its job well. Both the receiver and the microphone charge very quickly, and the batteries last a few hours. . Battery indicators show when the battery is low. The microphone comes with a clip so you can attach it to your belt, for example. Or you can just put it in your pocket. I didn't use it with a headset but with a small lapel mic clip which was very thin and held onto my collar very well. You can adjust the volume on the intercom station. Now here's the important thing: if you're using an adapter to connect the receiver to your laptop or phone, you'll need to plug your headphones into the headphone jack. If you just plug a mic into the mic port and do nothing else, it won't record. I found out about it by watching Youtube. Your device seems to require both a microphone and headphones, so it will only work if you connect both! As soon as I connected the microphone and headphones, my phone automatically picked up the sound from the external microphone. However, for some reason I couldn't get it to work on my Macbook. Not sure what the problem is. My phone is Android. The sound quality is sufficient for my purposes. I noticed that when I cranked the mic volume all the way up, the recording distorted a bit when I spoke loudly. I used volume level 12 which gave me a good sound. The resulting video has decently loud and clear audio. However, background noise (e.g. a plane flying by or a dog barking) may be heard. So make sure you record in a quiet environment. Finally, let me say that I like the construction of the microphone. It's small and slim. I don't know if you care about stuff like this, but I always want my electronics to look good.
